Badass Hoskinson
An ode to Charles Hoskinson and his badass contribution to the blockchain space.
About
Blocchain Badass is a longterm story driven project created by two brothers- one an artist, the other a developer. The project is an ode to blockchain developers pioneering the Web 3.0 breakthrough, and plays out through a series of NFT drops, beginning with Badass Hoskinson.
The story is told through notes left by the Architect as he attempts to build a portal into the Web 3.0 world and reveal the source of it all. Along the way there will be puzzles, creative competitions, exclusive drops, breeding, charity donations and more. There's a lot of mystery surrounding the movements of the Architect and the story will play out over the year.
A brief summary of some of the exciting things we're doing:
- Donating $20k to charity, our community will have their say in which charities, currently we're thinking Cardano specific ones. We want this to be more than a transaction and put the money towards something we can all follow along with and see updates from.
- Creating a fun storyline we can all take part in, after Badass Hoskinson we will be launching Badass Vitalik (forgive us for uttering his name here), owners of both will be able to take part in the Bloc Games- a series of experiments where using both NFTs you'll be able to 'build the portal' and mint what ever comes out of it.
- We'd like to build a gallery space in the Sandbox metaverse and hold giveaway competitions there. Far down the road we'd like to build something more gamified - but we're not going to promise anyone a P2E game just yet!
- We're keen on making our community as creative as possible, we hold weekly competitions where the task is always a lot more creative than just retweeting alone! One of our main goals is to just have fun and make NFTs more about the art than the quick flip, we're building a great community of likeminded individuals and having genuine conversations and connections with them, no moonboys around here.
- All of our art is hand drawn and heavily researched, we spent months trawling through all things Cardano when drawing Badass Hoskinson- we took a deep dive into all his AMAs, as a result our art is rich with nuance and full of unique traits.
